49ers part ways with OLB Bakhtiari



Eric Bakhtiari did everything right this offseason. He played special teams. He led the 49ers in sacks during the preseason, including a half sack in Thursday’s exhibition finale. And…

I am somewhat amazed that the team opted to go thin again at OLB. Bakhtiari did everything right to make the roster, but in the end that wasn't enough. The team will likely try and bring Cam Johnson back on the practice squad, and Bakhtiari who played his heart out and showed versatility, but it wasn't enough to win a spot towards the bottom of the roster.
