49ers make roster moves with injured rookies Fleming, Hampton



The 49ers have made decisions — sort of — on outside linebacker Darius Fleming and running back Jewel Hampton, both of whom were injured at the start of training…

Extra Point:

Both Fleming and Hampton are simply being protected at this point. The 49ers will try and keep both around for competition next season. The team has way too much depth for Hampton to make an impact this year, and Fleming could be useful if he had some experience under his belt... which he doesn't have yet.
