Haggans is a veteran that would add immediate help to one of the shallowest areas of the 49ers team - that being OLB. He may miss up to three games as he faces a disciplinary hearing for a DUI. In the event he is fully signed to the 49ers roster the team will have to part ways with someone - and my inkling is that it would be a move at the expense of one of their 6 safeties. If the Niners have more depth at outside line backer they likely don't need to be as heavy at safety.
