A.J. Jenkins was determined to make an impact this season even before Michael Crabtree tore his Achilles tendon on May 21.
I believe that the receiver position is one of the hardest for rookies to adapt to. The understanding of the offense as well as the nuances of playing the position against far better players, more complex defenses and being on the same page as the quarterback make for a very steep learning curve for players at the position. Jenkins extra time with Kaepernick this offseason hopefully will have brought him up the curve.
