There was no shortage of electricity when two NFC heavyweights collided under the lights Sunday night. In a game that was suspended for an hour in the first half to allow a lightning storm to pass, the Seattle Seahawks put… Extra Point:
The loss the 49ers face is going to sting for a while... at least until they can take claim to a lead in the NFC West. The 49ers simply have no answer for a team that can play them physically and win the battle at the line of scrimmage. Even though the Niners defense played ok for most of the game, the continued pounding of Lynch eventually wore them down. Not only did the 49ers lose this game in an embarrassing way - they lost Ian Williams for at least 3 months, and Vernon Davis and Eric Reid are likely out for next week's game. Ray McDonald was also hobbled. The 49ers need to use this as a jumping off point, you know... so they remember what rock bottom feels like (in case they forget after the Super Bowl) but it will be very hard to do missing some key players.
