Carradine, Lattimore expected to work at 49ers rookie camp

This is a portion of a syndicated post. Read the original at CSN 49ers headlines or scroll down the Extra Point.

Major knee injuries won't keep Tank Carradine and Marcus Lattimore away from 49ers' rookie minicamp, which starts on Friday.
Extra Point:

If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's not to bet against the determination of a football player trying to come back from injury. www.bookmakers.co.uk may have some great promotions at the moment, but the real odds are on the game of course. The reality is the 49ers took a few players with an injury risk like Carradine and Lattimore because they realized these guys have a way bigger upside, and the 49ers can afford the time - especially with Lattimore to allow them to get back to 100%. It is great to see that these guys will be at mini camp and learning the playbook so they are jacked up and ready to go when it is time to hit the field. Mental reps are not quite the same as the real thing, but at least the knowledge will be there.

Darius Flemming who was drafted last year to help the defensive line is not eligible to participate in camp because he spent the season on the injured reserve. Flemming is another player the 49ers hope can boost their defensive line who is coming off injury.
