The 49ers have another difficult task this week as they attempt to stop the 6-3 Chargers who will want vengeance after their loss last week to the Rams. The Chargers are a good football but team, and are following the play of one of the young up and coming running backs in the league, in LaDainian Tomlinson.

The Chargers will try to run against the 49ers, which may actually play into the 49ers strength, still stopping Tomlinson will be a real challenge for the 49ers defense, and the key to winning.

If the 49ers can force Drew Breese, the young Chargers quarterback to pass, they may be able to make him make mistakes. The coverage unit is growing into one of the best in the league, and had a dominant performance against the Chiefs.

The defensive backfield is also hungry for turnovers and with the defensive line coming off of one of their best performances they may get some. Constant pressure on the young quarterback could force him to make some mistakes and that could lead to some much needed big plays from the defense.

Talk about it in the 49ers Paradise Forum
