The 49ers completed the signing of their rookies on Friday when defensive tackle Josh Shaw signed with the club. His four year deal will allow him to join the 49ers in Stockton, but he will be immediately placed on the PUP. Shaw is expected to begin practicing in August.

Shaw’s contract excess $1.44 million for four years. Not a bad deal for the fifth round pick. Shaw continues to rehabilitate his ACL and MCL injuries. Once regarded as one of the top defensive tackles in the draft, Shaw’s status dropped tremendously upon his injury.

The 49ers have very big plans for the tackle. They see him as a future starter along the defensive line.

Talk about it in the 49ers Paradise Forum
