The 49ers training staff, which was sick its self, administered 14 intravenous drips to players at half time, as much of the team, closer to twenty players were suffering from a virus. A very hurt team pulled together to must a dog fight win 20-10. After the game, the 49ers were not only sick, but banged up too.

Dave Fiore has a knee injury. Early reports are that he has an ACL injury. A MRI will determine the extent of the damage today, but the 49ers are fearing Fiore will miss 10-12 weeks. The 49ers may be prompted to find another offensive lineman if this is indeed the situation.

Linebacker Jamie Winborn bruised his left knee. The 49ers currently have Winborn listed as doubtful for the Rams game, fearing that the injury may be worse. Thankfully, Jeff Ulbrich is finally healthy. An injury to Ulbrich is actually how Winborn cracked the starting lineup.

Ronnie Heard injured his ankle and is questionable for the Rams game. Julian Peterson has injuries to his knees and hip but is probable for the Rams game.

Turns out the 49ers bye week, which is this week, comes at a very appropriate time. This team is sick and banged up and needs time to get healthy. The 49ers will be very happy if they can get all these guys back in two weeks, but right now, that just doesn’t seem possible.

Talk about it in the 49ers Paradise Forum
