Same OLD story? Not So
January 6th, 2001
By Bryan Hersh of 49ers Paradise
One of the 49ers best offensive lineman is Ray Brown. The sixteen year veteran is truly a great at his position. In fact last season, Brown didn’t even give up one sack to the opposition. If that’s not talent, what is?

Over his long and consistent career, Brown has been slighted constantly. A regular on the Pro Bowl cast off list - Brown never got his chance to bask in the heat of the Hawaiian sun. Now - in what could very well be his retirement season, the NFL, its fans and players have finally recognized the outstanding offensive lineman.

Finally earning a trip to the Pro Bowl, Brown continues to give credit to the rest of his team for making him a better player. The modest Brown though, has to be happy with his achievement.

Congratulations to Brown on an outstanding accomplishment.
