One thing the 49ers will have going for them when they face the Bucs this weekend is a chance for a better defensive game than the 38 points they gave up to the versatile Giants. The Bucs are a strong team, don’t kid your self, but offense is where they lack.

While the Giants had weapons upon weapons to use, running backs, receivers and tight ends, the Bucs really just have a receiver and a few other players that might be able to make a few plays. Certainly they don’t have the versatile arsenal that the Giants displayed.

When the 49ers defense takes to the field this Sunday, they will match up much better against the Bucs than they did the Giants. If they can rattle the QB and make solid tackles, they may be able to keep the offense - who will be fighting one of the strongest defenses in the league, in a position to win the game, and advance to the NFC Championship.

Talk about it in the 49ers Paradise Forum
