Reports came out earlier this week that free agent offensive lineman Blake Brockermeyer, had yet to sign the dotted line on his contract. The 49ers who had expressed interest in the offensive tackle however, are not likely anywhere near the picture.

Much to the chagrin of many 49ers fans and coaches, the hold up on Brockermeyer’s contract is over technicalities that are likely to be worked out over the next few days. Some sources even state the Brockermeyer could actually sign the contract as early as today.

The 49ers offer was for far less upfront money to the recovering Brockermeyer. But Denver believe he will be worth the money, and so as soon as the two sides are done haggling over details its likely that Brockermeyer’s status of ‘agreed to terms’ will change to ‘signed’.

Talk about it in the 49ers Paradise Forum
