As expected, offensive tackle Blake Brockermeyer, who the 49ers actively pursued this off-season as a free agent, has officially agreed to terms with the Denver Broncos. Brockermeyer had reportedly signed the agreement almost two weeks ago, but it turns out the two sides were still haggling over details.

With Brockermeyer officially out of the free agent market the 49ers have identified just one other player who they have a real interest in. Willie Jackson, the free agent receiver, is that man. Jackson however, is looking for some guaranteed play time - something he couldn’t have with the 49ers, where he would have to earn the second starting position.

The 49ers would still like to sign Jackson, but likely won’t unless he comes back to them looking to get something seriously done. The 49ers have not identified any other receivers or offensive lineman that they would be interested in - though Antonio Freeman’s name has been passed around the media.

Talk about it in the 49ers Paradise Forum
