Multiple league sources say the 49ers are considering not retaining Dashon Goldson as a franchise player for a second consecutive season.…[rss-cut]

Unless the 49ers plan on using the tag on Delanie Walker - and I doubt that - I'm not sure what they lose by tagging Walker. It gives them negotiating leverage, and prevents him from testing the open market.
