I hope that the walsh family understands that bill's memory is never going to leave us! I fell his presence his energy and his heart every time the niners take the field. Throu the good and bad times to come Sf will still look to his wisdome and spirit for the strength to become champions both in the game and in life! My best regards to everyone affected by Bills passing, just remember, he's still right here with us baby! Go niners!! |

The greatest coach in the history of the NFL. The NFL wouldn't be where it is today without you. Your contributions are unparalleled and for that as a 49er fan, I am gracious for you to have been a monumental part of the organization. An immortal legend. You are missed but will be always be remembered. |

I was truly saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Walsh, a great coach and equally great man who, as Head Coach of my beloved San Francisco 49ers, brought me up as much as my parents did since I discovered football nearly 25 years ago. Rest in Peace, God bless and thank you for all the good times! |

Bill - You've been one of the greatest NFL coach. I've been a Canadian Niners fan since the early 80s, and that's due to your work!
The West coast offense schema has revolutionized football forever, and you can rest in peace with all those great football minds.

where to begin about this great man....he was a true gentleman, and many fellow coaches and competitors back that statement.....he was a gridiron genius, and he had one of the most complete offenses and DEFENSES in the league.....he left his mark on the football world with his west coast offense and he radically changed the game.......RIP Bill Walsh, you will always be the Coach for the Niner Faithful |

My heart goes out to Bill Walsh's family and friends. The way Bill lived his life was to benefit us all. His influence (varying degrees) made us better because he showed us how to live life through intellect, charming wit, compassion for others, and knowing what's best in the long run. An example of what defined Bill was in his younger days as he rebuilt a car. It was more important to him to to improve the car's engine, than to improve the appearance of it. He wanted to see it perform well...He wanted to see others perform well.
God Bless and Love Always,
Bill |

Dear Bill and Family,
I dont know if I can possible put into words the feelings and respect that I and the Niner Faithfulls have for you. You took over a team and franchise that was the punching bag and laughing stock of the NFL for decades. And you and your staff turned them into World Champions in three short years. And with that, you also took a City and a fan base that suffered from an inferiority complex all those years to a proud and beaming fraternity who now will always have, and accept nothing, but high expectations for this team and organization. Thank you coach Walsh. Rest in Peace and be assured that you will never be forgotten! |

My heart goes out to the Walsh family. My thanks also go out to the Walsh family for sharing this great man with us. What a gift he was, and for many reasons. Always humble, soft spoken, and respectable of others..his attitude was evident in the young players he developed. Joe, Steve, Jerry...all the guys who were fortunate enough to be coached by him became not only outstanding players, but outstanding members of society. Thanks Mr. Walsh, you will be missed-but never forgotten. |

With my extreme condolences to the Walsh Family. Football wouldn't have been the same with Bill Walsh. Not many teams had what the 49ers had in the 80's and early 90's...people didn't have to like the Niners but they sure had to give them respect for being a classy group of professionals. Thats what Walsh instilled in his players, the understanding that the contribution of every player is needed to be champions. The Greatest Coach who ever lived will be missed by many. |

My sincere condolences to the Walsh family. As a Stanford Alum and long time San Francisco sports fan, I can only say that the Bay Area was blessed with one of the greatest sports coaches of all time. Bill Walsh will live as a Sports Icon as long as footballs are passed, and running plays are run. |
