Some thoughts on the NFC’s 41-34 loss to the AFC in the Pro Bowl at Sun Life Stadium:

Years ago, former Saints quarterback Bobby Hebert promised to march down Bourbon Street in a dress if the Saints ever made it to the Super Bowl. Yesterday, Hebert (above left), who was joined by many fans, showed that he's a man of his word.

I wonder if he has made any promises if they win  Wink

I hope our old division-rival wins it as well. I am not sure Brees wil be able to keep up with Peyton but hopefully the Saints running game will take the pressure of him so he avoids the costly turnover  Undecided

I hope like hell I am wrong as well Grid., as my heart really wants to see the Saints pull the upset.  My head tells me that they will not be able to handle Peyton.

A thought for you all on Super Bowl Sunday: As if a mere two years ago, there were three NFC teams that had never made the Super Bowl-the Cardinals, the Saints, and the Lions. The Cardinals made it last year, the Saints made it this year, so could that mean that next year...

I think the league might move the lockout forward just to keep the sanity of the league. Just the thought of Goodell presenting himself as the boss of the league who has the Detroit Lions as champs.....  Roll Eyes

Now that would be Katrina, right?

Fitting way to end an exceptionally good pick 'em year as my winnings on this game has paid for the trip to London this year Cheesy

Good call, bad call: Revisiting predictions for 2009 NFL season
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/don_banks/02/12/snaps/index.html

I don't quite remember now if it was at last year's NFL Scouting Combine or the league's annual meeting the following month, but I do recall the gist of Sean Payton's message to me. With a slightly bemused look bordering on one of his trademark smirks, he had a question for me at the end of a quick interview we were conducting:

"Could you do me a favor this year and not pick us to go to the Super Bowl?'' he said. "OK? We're 0-for-2 when you do that.''
