Man this Hart for Mich. is impressive to bad he's staying in school I would love to see him on our team.
He looked a little fragile in my opinion. I thought USC's defense did a pretty good job in containing him. Then again, being a USC fan I am a little biased... what were his game stats? I was thinking Tony Hunt from Penn State might be a better pickup.

Good stats D, but what I saw in that last game did not impress me. I know that Hart runs hard, so did he take a night off against USC? Does not matter, Hart is returning to school, so we'll get to talk about him again next year.

He def. had an off night but the USC controlled that entire Mich. team - Hart is a guy that I will be watching alot (living up here in the U.P.) next season.

I liked the look of Harts #'s and thought that I would get a chance to actually watch him run (I just do not get to see many Mich games) and then when I get to watch him.... well it seemed that Hart had no heart. So hopefully it was just an off night for him and he'll step up and show that he is a player.
D - who do you have a as a hidden gem? There are some smaller colleges up there in your neck of the woods and a lot of bigger colleges/universities... who has impressed you this year?

To be honest with you RG I really do not follow alot of college football. I catch a few games from time to time usually the bigger games but not the local small colleges. I count on the DISE die-hard colleg ball fans/draft guru's to get me through the down time in the off season and have learned alot from them the past few years.

Just because I post a player here for everyone to look at D, is not saying I think the 9er's should draft him. I think the kid is an interesting prospect and might have some upside if he gets into the NFL. I never thought that the 9er's would take two TE's in a row to finish out the 2005 draft, but low and behold they did. If the 9er's did take a TE in this years draft, it would probably be from a bigger school, not D1AA. Anyway, here another kid from San Diego. http://usdtoreros.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/brisco_josh00.html

Thinking more about it I doubt that E.J. is back and then we are one injury away from being in bad shape. I think D. Love is a player but we prob. need more depth.

I think depth is a concern, especially if EJ does not come back. Billy Bajema has looked more like a blacking TE then anything else, maybe he'll get more balls thrown to him in the future although I seriously doubt that.

Outside of having VD and EJ... who else is on the team that can have an impact at TE if VD goes down or if EJ does not resign? TE might not be a priority in this draft, but I think the 9er's do need to have a plan in either drafting one or bringing one in through FA.

It is more of a need that I first thought I have a feeling that E.J. is gone no way we are going to pay what it takes to keep him here. We just might look to the draft late after-all. Besurprised if we went fa for that position.

I take you don't think D. Love fits the TE position?

I take you don't think D. Love fits the TE position? I don't think that the 9er's have an idea where D. Love fits into the organization. An all purpose player, with no position. I know that JNew wants to come back next year and Heitman was pretty solid for much of the year, but what do you guys think about Dan Mozes? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/sioncampus/10/31/dj.mozes/index.htmlMaybe if he last past the 2nd round?

I think he fits the position and been confused if he is an "F'' back, te, receiver? I guess he's all three just lacks experience. Regardless, my thought process has changed on this one and te is a need prob. late or udfa if nothing else for depth.

What position does he actually fit D? The Jack of all trades Back? He does lack experience, because he has not played the positions the 9er's are asking him to play. he was a WR in college and a pretty decent one at that, but when your asked to perform TE duties, that takes on an entirely different level of responsibilities! I think the 9er's need to find him a position and stick to that one position.

I would not mind seeing him get a shot at receiver cause for a big man this kid can run!
Like I said I don't know what the hell he is as i have read te, f - back, receiver, (next year they will prob. try to line him up at left tackle)!
I wish that Nol. would come out and tell us what he is cause I have no idea!
Thing is Nol. and Scotty said after we drafted him that they like him at f-back because of his size.
They feel that he is more of a natural at his normal weight and infact asked him to regain the weight he lost for the combine.
they think he can block as an f back......................
I am sure that he will line up at receiver and everywhere else even on kick return which he also did and did well!

Mozes sounds interesting, but I think we need to spend our 2nd and both 3rd's on defense.
As for Love: What the heck is "F-back" anyway? I've heard the rumors about it being TE/FB tweener but I can't really say I know what that means (or how its different from a pass catching FB). I would like to think that he will play TE when EJ leaves (I'm pretty sure EJ's gone). He hasn't played TE that much because he was hurt most of the year and he started out behind EJ and VD. I'm not sure we need 3 TE's on the roster (VD & Love being 2) when I've Baas line up as a blocking TE. Just my 2 cents.

We are bound to uncover a few more check this out!!!!!! 49ers staff to coach the Senior Bowl -- again Mike Nolan and his coaching staff did not expect it, but they are jumping at the chance to coach the South squad at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., later this month. The Senior Bowl is the top college all-star game, and many of the best draft-eligible players use the week of practice and the game as a showcase for their abilities. The game is scheduled to be played Jan. 27. How cool is this??? http://www.49ersparadise.com/cgi-bin/news/news.cgi?action=display&num=11138

I really like Robert Meacham, WR Tenn, if he is available in the second round and if we don't take Ginn or Jarrett in the 1st. Meacham declared himself eligible for the draft today.

I been trying for a few days to get some information or just some bio's on these two kids from Albany, but all I have managed so far is to get a couple of links. This is the best info I can give you all. So if there is anyone out there that has more info on these two, please post it! http://www.albany.edu/sports/mens/football/Andre Coleman and Colin Disch Another kid that I am sure the 9er's have had their collective eyes on is Kyle Shotwell out of Cal Poly - this is a program that is sure pumping out some defensive players the last few years! And yes, this is a kid I would want on the 9er's team. http://www.calpolymustangs.com/football/mens/2006/news/ShotwellBuchanan.html

It looks like the previous two winners of Division I Defensive Player of the Year (Shotwell won it this year) were also from Cal Poly and both were drafted in the 3rd round. There is probably no such thing as a well kept secret anymore, but it would be nice if we could use one of our zillion 4th round draft picks for him.
