One interesting match up this weekend will be between 49ers receiver Terrell Owens and cornerback Charles Woodson of the Raiders. Owens is coming off his best performance of the season with eight catches, whereas Woodson is probable to return from a broken shoulder injury.

While Owens is hampered by an heal bruise, he is certainly looking forward to going up against one of the best cornerbacks in the league. Woodson has been a success in Oakland since his rookie season, and of course will try and bring the skills he’s picked up from playing against the likes of Rice and Brown in practice, to the field against one of the leagues most explosive receivers.

This could be a big week for Terrell Owens. He is getting comfortable working with Tai Streets opposite him, and if the 49ers return JJ Stokes to the field, but in the third receiver position, Owens may see lots of single coverage against Woodson, which of course is where he excels.

Further - Owens is just six touchdowns away from passing Roger Craig for second all time on the 49ers list. Jerry Rice is the team leader with 187 touchdowns.

Talk about it in the 49ers Paradise Forum
