Owens Returning To The Team
May 22 2002
By Bryan Hersh of 49ers Paradise
Terrell Owens is reportedly on his way back to the 49ers. After playing a few games for the USBL’s Adirondack Wildcat’s Owens is ready to turn his attention back to football and the 49ers. Owens has not ruled out a return to the USBL in the future, but is indeed ready to focus on just football.

The star receiver averaged 4.2 points while on the court, a number that is respectable but hardly admirable. Most importantly his basketball outings ended without any injury - despite one scare in which his name appeared on the USBLs injured reserve list. Owens is expected back with the 49ers for their full-squad mini-camp but may surprise the team and appear at the rookies and selected veteran’s camp that begins today.

Dispelling Rumors: Recently there was a rumor on the web about Terrell Owens being traded to the Buffalo Bills. The rumor was quickly discarded at 49ers Paradise, but did continue to circulate throughout the web. Not only do the Bills not have enough money to attain Owens, but the 49ers are working with Owens to extend his contract. Owens is not going anywhere - and the originator of the rumor confessed it to be a joke that was not meant to cause any harm.

Talk about it in the 49ers Paradise Forum
