What I didn’t know then, and do know now, was that Lott was accompanied by Joe Montana and Harris Barton and were also there to promote their venture capital group, Champion Ventures. Obviously fans were delighted with the alumni’s presence. Until this season, Joe Montana had shied away from the 49ers facility for nearly a decade. This season however, Montana has already been accounted for at one mini-camp and at training camp.
Also attending camp was former 49ers’ offensive tackle Bubba Paris. Joe Theisman, who never played for the 49ers was also in attendance.
