49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia received a big honor this week when he was named the NFC offensive player of the week. Garcia who thrived when his team was down 24 points, earned the award, but was quick to reflect the attention onto the rest of his team.

Garcia who had a quarterback rating of 97.8, hindered by an early interception he threw, was a big reason why the 49ers were able to post the NFL second largest comeback playoff victory. He threw for three touchdown and ran for another.

Jeff Garcia had a lot of help from Terrell Owens and the rest of his offense this week. There was no question though, it was he who was controlling the pace of the game, and making the decisions to put the ball where it had to go.
